Job Description
Overview
You will provide care for animals in the client's home. This will include feeding and fresh water, exercise, care and companionship for the pet, administering medications, and cleaning up after them. This will either be overnight stays or daily visits. You will also attend to the client's home while they are away which could include checking the mail, rotating lights, or watering plants. Each job is different and may include other duties as specified by the client.
Requirements
- Must have a reliable car, a cell phone and access to email
- Must be responsible and detail-oriented
- Must have a basic working knowledge of pet care
- Must be comfortable around animals and be able to handle them safely and responsibly
- Must be able to work holidays
- Must be able to do overnight stays in the client's home
- Must have a fairly flexible schedule
- Must be able to follow directions consistently
- Must live in one of our service areas (Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior and Erie)
Preferred
- Experience with different breeds of dogs
- Experience giving medications
- Familiarity with different training techniques, nutrition requirements, and other aspects of general care
